| Thank you for your interest
in Pubnet, the publishing industry's leading e-commerce system.
Online registration is
currently available.
Pubnet is a membership organization that provides you access
to top retailers and bookstores. Pubnet can be considered a SINGLE
trading partner to you. It’s easiest to think of us as a
“consolidator” – we consolidate the purchase
orders for all the retailers and put them in your own EDI mailbox,
so you can retrieve with just one mouse click. You also will be
able to receive purchase orders, from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble College Division, Rittenhouse, J.A. Majors and many other
trade retail and college bookstores.
All Pubnet retail and bookstore members send Purchase Orders
and require that you send back Purchase Order Acknowledgements
(POAs).
Since some Pubnet retail and bookstore members will accept electronic
invoices at this time, you should consider sending the invoice
transaction set (810) or Advanced Ship Notice (ASN 856), in addition
to the Purchase Order Acknowledgement (855) transactions. Currently
these members include Amazon.com and Baker & Taylor. In many
cases you will be paid more quickly if you submit electronic (EDI)
invoices.
Becoming a supplier member of Pubnet is easy. Simply, complete
the Pubnet online registration. After our Technical Client
Service group has received the agreement as well processed your
registration, you will receive a “Welcome to PUBNET” e-mail containing your mailbox information, including IDs and
passwords, instructions for connecting to our network and step-by-step
guidelines for testing and certification.
The fees to participate in Pubnet and obtain access to thousands
of retailers are:
- $750 one-time fee to join the community
- 75 cents per document to receive or send
- $50 monthly mailbox
- Technical Support is provided at no cost.
Please contact us with any
questions. Pubnet looks forward to having you as part of the Pubnet
trading community.
